All the blood are not the same!
Maybe you know about the antigens in our body that triggers the response of immune if a strange thing enters the body. It is what helps in determining the type of blood. Presence and absence of particular antigens is actually something that matters.

Types of Human Blood Group:
The major blood groups are four. These are determined according to the A and B antigens. It is present on the above surface of red blood cells. Besides these A and B antigens, there is another crucial thing named as RH factor. Rh factor is present or absent that ends up with four more blood types.
So, generally, there are eight common blood types; A+, A-, B+, B-, O+, O-, AB+ and AB-.
· Group A:
This blood group just has antigen A on red blood cells and plasma and antibody of antigen B
· Group B:
This blood group just has antigen B on red blood cells and plasma and antibody of antigen A
· Group AB:
This blood group acquires both antigens A and B on the surface of red blood cells. However, it does not contain the plasma or antibody of any A or B antigen.
· Group O
This blood group is precisely opposite of group AB. It does not contain any A or B antigen. Instead, it has the plasma and antibody of both antigens A and B.
Rare Blood Type:
Besides all this, there are also 600 plus antigens that are known. The addition and subtraction of those antigens end up with rare blood types. A person will be a rare blood type if his/her body does have a lack of antigens that 99% of other people have. And, if your body does not have an antigen that 99.99% of people have, then you are an extremely rare blood type.
Do You Know about Universal Blood Donors?
The O- blood group is a universal donor. This type of blood is acceptable by any kind of blood. Usually, the O- blood group is short and highly demanded by hospitals. It is because any sort of patient’s blood type can accept this. And this is also needed for emergent transfusions when there is no one to donate immediate blood.
Blood type is inherited by family similarly eye colour. The type of blood is genetically connected from your parents and other family members.
We all should also donate our blood as each hospital requires blood every 2 seconds in the USA. In this regard, blood donation of a healthy person would be quite beneficial for everyone around.
